The Arts & Spirituality Center routinely provides young poets and artists opportunities for showcasing and performing their work. We invite you to join us. There is no better way to experience first-hand the beauty and transformational power of the Center than by attending one of our events!

Saturday, February 28 / 1:30 p.m. HeartSpeak Celebrates Black History Month with Second Macedonia Baptist Church (1301 W Ruscomb Street (between 13^th and Old York Road), Philadelphia)

Young HeartSpeak poets will be performing pieces about “Portraits of Inspiration” at one of Philadelphia’s oldest faith congregations in the African American community, Second Macedonia Baptist Church. Two youth poets and two HeartSpeak teaching artists will take participants on a journey through time using poetry, African percussion and song.
