As Philadelphia continues to grapple with the violence that is dividing its communities and neighborhoods, our city’s youth are often seen as part of the problem.  The Arts & Spirituality Center instead views them as a tremendous resource in stopping violence in our region. In response, The Center has today officially announced that its HeartSpeak program has launched and quickly expanded to nearly 30 sites throughout Greater Philadelphia, proclaiming that as a city, we have “One City, One Heart.”  HeartSpeak is a citywide initiative to help young people express how violence affects their lives and uses art, poetry and multi-media productions to capture young people’s visions for a more peaceful tomorrow.  Download the full press release.
