Arts & Spirituality Center Executive Director Susan Teegen-Case , HeartSpeak and the Center’s Cathleen Cohen and HeartSpeak participant Jamillah Harris spent an hour with Dr. Dan Gottlieb on Monday, January 26. HeartSpeak, a citywide initiative which engages thousands of Philadelphia youth from diverse races, religions and neighborhoods in a conversation about their visions of peace using art and poetry. They were joined by Kathleen O'Hara who is the author of A Grief Like No Other, which is written for people and family members who have lost a loved one to violence, anything sudden and violent and people who have experienced direct violence. We were especially pleased that Jamillah, a high school junior from west Philadelphia, could share with her amazing talent. We invite you to get to know her and read more of her work.
Many thanks to WHYY and Dr. Dan Gottlieb for giving us this phenomenal opportunity. We also appreciate the Board members, artists, and friends of the Arts & Spirituality Center who listened LIVE!
