EINSTEIN-OLNEY COLLABORATION

Fostering pride for special needs students through the design and installation of a clay tile mural in the hospital garden, as well as a variety of arts activities

A collaboration with a program of Einstein Medical Center and Olney High School providing vocational training for special needs students

This MasterPeace^TM program had us partnering with a unique program collaboration of Einstein Medical Center and Olney High School in which special needs students spent a ½ day at the Medical Center in vocational training and mentoring situations for their junior and senior years. These students graduate from both institutions and many alumni have been permanently hired by the hospital.

To celebrate their 30th year, they engaged us to help the students create a MasterPeace program that includes a clay tile mural installation in a hospital garden. Additionally, the students have learned to create percussive music and poetry that added new educational elements to their curriculum and introduced new avenues for expressing their unique voices.
